Categorised as a 'City' bike, it combines the best features of Marin's mountain and road bikes and is designed for road, cycling track and light duty off-road use. The riding position is more upright and great for anyone wanting good all-round visibility without straining the neck muscles. It's also a lightweight machine, well sprung and with plenty of gear ratios. The main design features are :
Heat treated, polished aluminium alloy frame using butt-welded asymmetrical section tube (for strength - and good looks).
Full suspension front forks.
Sprung saddle post.
Shimano Deore rear drive system
Shimano Alivio front drive system
24 gear ratios (3x8)
Aluminium alloy for contoured wheel rims and extensive use on other components.
Toe clips, mudguards, water bottle and tool / spare tube pouch fitted as extras (can be readily removed), and the little - used cycling helmet is also available if required.
The history of my bike is one of its attractions in that I bought it new about 9 years ago, rode it no more than 15 miles on country lanes and since then it has remained in storage without further use. It is in virtually new condition and looks that way - stunning. It would make a great Christmas present.
